Rangers skipper Lee Wallace and winger Barrie McKay find themselves in the Scotland squad for their upcoming friendlies against Italy and France.
Gordon Strachan’s side travel to Malta to face the Italians on Sunday May 29, before travelling to Metz to take on European Championship hosts France on Saturday June 4.
With fantastic season’s for both at Ibrox this year, Petrofac Training Cup success, a Championship title and promotion back to the Premier League, as well as potentially Scottish Cup success and a potential European return as well – well it’s nice to see them get the nod.
McKay is uncapped at full international level but Wallace does have eight to his name so far – albeit the last coming back in 2013.
It tops a fine campaign for both as McKay is our Young Player of the Year, whilst Wallace took both Players’ Player and Player of the Year for the campaign.
