Rangers over reliance on the goal scoring prowess of Alfredo Morelos is long gone and with four different names on the scoresheet against Dundee United it’s clear to see where improvements have been made.

One player who not only scored but was man of the match was Joe Aribo, with the Nigerian international now producing the numbers needed to reflect his obvious quality.

Known for his dribbling ability and close ball control, his goal against United was all about power, putting his laces through the ball as it rocketed into the top corner, speaking after the game, Aribo revealed how practise is making perfect, as reported by The Daily Record:

“I probably haven’t hit a shot with as much power.

“Everyone says in training that I like to finesse it, curl it, but I’ve been practicing just putting my laces through it and, thankfully, it went in.

“The boys are buzzing. We knew it wouldn’t be an easy game and we had to start fast and get a foothold in the game and keep going throughout the 90 minutes.

“I just want to finish the season strongly, keep pushing and going, and giving all that I can and I’m happy that I’m getting positive results.”

Can Aribo become a ten goal+assist player?

Aribo was flying in pre-season and looked like he was going to be a key player for Steven Gerrard, however, an achilles injury and period of illness have set him back this season but with seven goals and four assists, mainly from midfield, he is proving that the hard work on the training round is starting to pay off.
