Rangers Confirm Pena Details

Following the announcement by Cruz Azul about their capture of Carlos Pena, Rangers have this evening confirmed that it is a loan deal.

The deal struck with the Mexican side see 27 year old Pena head out on a 12 month loan and his new side will pay his wages in full for that period.

Come next January, he will either return to Rangers or they will pay a guaranteed £2million fee if they want the deal to become permanent.

A brief statement on the Official Site read.

‘Rangers would like to thank Carlos for his services to date and wish him the best at his new club.’

The Press Association also speculate that Rangers are open for similar loan deals for Fabio Cardosso and Eduardo Herrera, however that would again be contingent on willing suitors meeting their salaries in full.
