It is that time of year again, the close season and the now annual kit launch draws closer.

VitalRangers understands that there will be a further update from Rangers in regard to the new kit release in the coming weeks, before the end of June.

With Castore’s debut season in partnership with the club culminating in the league title success and the end to the long trophy drought, the shirt worn by the team over the course of the season will remain a favourite – of that there is no doubt.

However, a new range of kits will be worn in the upcoming season and fans will soon get a first glimpse of the new designs.

It is expected that in addition to three regular strips, there will be a special edition 150th anniversary shirt, as alluded to by James Bisgrove at a recent club webinar with Ross Wilson.

In fact, a full range of 150th merch will follow – think along the lines of the Champions range as was launched around the ‘Trophy Day’ celebrations.

Stunning

Some mock-ups and concept kits have been shared around social media and this set from FC Mockup is very impressive.

Check out the images below.

In the images above, a similar template is adhered to across the three kits which is not too common nowadays.

Traditional colours are very much the basis across the three stunning designs, with a special historical nod for the white away concept kit.

There has been a clamour for some time for an adaption of the all white kit as worn in that famous photo of the Gallant Pioneers.

A pale blue star on a white background, the emblem of Clyde Rowing Club, was the badge on that famous shirt, depicted in the legendary image, despite no record of the kit being worn in a game by the early Rangers team.

It’s now over to the club and Castore, soon we will see the new kits for real.
