One thing I didn’t expect to see in a season where Rangers are topping the league and playing some amazing football and Scotland have qualified for a major tournament for the first time since 1998 is the word “joyless” getting used to describe the season.

I can tell you one fan base that is having more than a little bit of joy, sitting with an 18-point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership and with a bitter rival that has lorded it up over them for the last 10 years now getting more than a piece of their own medicine – and its safe to say, they aren’t taking it at all well.

Yes, it is frustrating that fans aren’t allowed into grounds, particularly those that invested their hard-earned money without any guarantee of getting to see any live action,  but football is about winning and that’s what brings joy – it’s almost as if Gordon Parks’s side isn’t winning….

How much fun are you having this season?

None

None

More than enough!

More than enough!

Gers fans took to Twitter with one thought in mind, mocking Parks, and letting him know exactly just how much fun they’re having this season with one man in particular representing those in Light Blue:

So, a season where a club outside of the Old Firm is going to win a trophy, Rangers continue to strengthen our coefficient ranking in Europe is joyless? I’m not sure Kris Boyd would agree.
