They couldn’t wait a couple of weeks could they?
Well, sorry to be the bearer of bad news but, if you didn’t already know, Neil Lennon has left his post as Celtic manager and won’t be around to see us win the title at Parkhead, nor will he be part of the guard of honour that he would obviously have wanted his players to form – should we win the league title before the next Old Firm.
That he lasted this long really is something of a miracle in a season that has lurched from disaster to disaster – or catastrophe if you prefer – where he has continuously thrown players under a bus and blamed everyone from the First Minister to the SFA, at least he went down in a blaze of glory I suppose.
Needless to say, Lennon’s departure has been one of the lowest points in the season for Rangers fans who took to Twitter to vent their “frustration”…

I feel another peak twitter day coming on!
Thank you Celtic. From the bottom of my social media heart. Thank you!

A bit gutted Neil Lennon has resigned from Celtic. Played a big part of our success this year on the way to 55 🤣🤣🤣

Hearing Lennon burst into Lawwells house at 2am. Jumped into the shower with him and resigned.

Damn, my week was so good but it’s rapidly went downhill now Lennon has resigned 😢

Lennon’s legacy remains, he has yet to beat Rangers to a league title without seeing us have a points deduction, being absent from the league or completing a full 38 game season – a true club legend.
