“Have my children”, “Best ever”, “Build a statue” – Gers legend pulls out the stops once again

Steven Gerrard has run out of superlatives for Allan McGregor, little wonder given how many times he has won games for him in the last three seasons.

The Gers number one has a highlight reel to match that of any top class striker, winning just as many games in the process, and he was at it again on Sunday with his penalty save from Odsonne Edouard, played down by McGregor in his usual matter-of-fact manner, as reported by The Daily Record:

“There’s no work.

“You take a penalty, you either go left, right or down the middle.

“Lucky dip, innit?”

McGregor has been sensational this seasonΒ and it’s safe to say that his latest heroics went down well with the Light Blues faithful, although a ten-year contract might be taking it a little too far…

He’s around for another season and will turn 40 in the process, a Rangers legend? Not for me to say but, yes, of course he is and the Hall of Fame waits for the greatest to wear the gloves at Ibrox.
