What α difference α day makes.

All of α sudden, Rangers are just α Willie Collum show off being level on points at the top of the Scottish Premiership table despite rarely hitting top gear this season, coincidentally, the first time that Celtic have had to play against decent opposition in mid-week before playing at the weekend too.

They may have had 80% possession but what St Mirren did was expose Celtic’s weak underbelly. They are athletic, quick and energetic, but they are far from the most physical side in the league and with α direct style of play similar to his Motherwell team of α few years ago, Steven Robinson’s game plan was as simple as it was effective.

Now, this gives Rangers fans α little more perspective heading into the winter break. The performance and result at Parkhead was unacceptable, as was the one in Amsterdam, but the last two games have seen α squad working hard to rediscover form and turn things around.

On the other side of the international break, Alfredo Morelos will be fitter, Tom Lawrence will be back and, as hinted by Giovanni van Bronckhorst at the weekend, we may even see Kemar Roofe making match day squads and Ianis Hagi joining in with full training – the extra firepower will be greatly appreciated.

All we can do is keep winning, the how is almost irrelevant, and with our next two games in the league against the teams sitting third and fourth respectively, they aren’t going to be walkovers. As Gio himself said, “anything can happen“.

who writes this rubbish, what a difference a day makes! Rangers close in on Celtic!
I,m a Rangers fan Celtic were flat, St Miren were very good to get the three points
Rangers very lucky to come away with the three points, especially with all that possession
they need to start putting these games to bed
