If you thought Andy Walker speaking sense was surreal, Scott Brown got sent off for elbowing someone in the face against Livingston, we are well and truly through the looking glass now folks.

For those of you that haven’t been paying attention, here’s a few examples of his previous misdemeanours, none of which were punished either at the time or by the compliance officer, the “he’s not that type of player” argument really doesn’t stand up here.

For years an average player has been allowed to run roughshod over Scottish football, the look of disbelief on his face last night – just five minutes after coming on as a sub – when Willie Callum sent him off was one of shock, he genuinely thought that this sort of behaviour was acceptable.

I mean, what exactly does he think he’s doing? Shielding the ball when you are in possession is one thing, continuously looking for opponents to elbow in the face is just weird, it’s such a shame he wasn’t dealt with earlier.

Rangers fans took to Twitter in response to the decision, the latest in their implosion, which marks the end of an era and with all probability, the end of a career where the medals in the cabinet don’t reflect the ability of the player.

I bet Brown wishes he went to Australia when he had the chance last January now…..
