Speculation surrounding Rangers summer transfer business has gone a bit quiet since the European Championships, however, one name refuses to go away.

Bright Osayi-Samuel is said to be heading out the door at Fenerbahce despite only landing in Turkey just a few months ago, his failure to impress over since arriving from QPR seeing him head a list of names to be sold to raise funds for new arrivals.

It has been well documented that Steven Gerrard was after the 23-year old forward at the end of last year when he was approaching the last six months of his contract and able to speak to clubs about a pre-contract transfer.

However, after agreeing a move to Fenerbahce the Super Lig side negotiated a transfer fee to see him join immediately and are now looking to turn a quick profit on the Nigerian born speedster.

The most recent report from Turkey claims that a fee of £3.4million would be enough to secure his services with the Gers believed to have tabled a bid in the region of £2.6m already according to Glasgow Live.

Celtic are also believes to be interested in Osayi-Samuel so it wouldn’t be a surprise if our name is being dropped into he conversation to spur them into making their own offer, after all, Vital Rangers has already exclusively revealed that Ross Wilson is not actively in the hunt for any more forwards.

He would be an upgrade on the likes of Brandon Barker, Jordan Jones and Jake Hastie but they are still at the club, and until they are off the books, I just can’t see us bringing anyone else in, that the Turkish media refuse to let this one lie does get you thinking though, no smoke without fire and all that.
