Rangers will add a few new faces this summer and, for all that much of the business could be down to who departs, if there are any bargains to be had, we are in a good position to move.

One such player who is said to have been approached by the Light Blues is long term target Bright Osayi-Samuel, the former QPR winger who only joined Fenerbahce in January is reportedly being allowed to leave the Turkish giants.

Speaking to Football Insider, Kevin Phillips, who has seen the 23-year old up close from his time coaching in the Championship reckons that he could be a resounding success if he makes the move to Glasgow.

“Yeah, he would do well at Rangers.

“That’s not big money either. I don’t think he would command massive wages so that could be good business.

“Stevie is always looking to strengthen that squad. It’s going to be a tough season and they need to go again.

“If they can add another player of quality to that side it would be a good move.

“In that league, if you get someone like that running at defenders, he can cause major problems.”

The fee suggested is £3million, not a huge outlay for a young player that could easily be developed into one who could be sold for three times that, but if report are accurate we tried to sign him on a pre-contract deal earlier in the season, I just can’t see why he would get a second chance to come to Ibrox.

How many players do Rangers have at the Euros this summer?

The other factor, as revealed exclusively by Vital Rangers, is that we are not looking to add any more forwards to the squad, however, we all know that Ross Wilson loves a bargain.
