Rangers went to Hampden Park to face Hibernian in the Scottish Cup final today. After a three-two defeat we’ve got to keep our heads high and move on….

A season of success, which saw the Scottish Championship won pretty much at a canter to confirm our Premiership return (always the priority) also had the Petrofac Training Cup won at the fourth attempt of asking.

This all amounted to a highly successful first season for Mark Warburton but it was said a Scottish Cup win would (as captain Lee Wallace put it ahead of the match) make a ‘good season’ a ‘great season.’

All the hours and efforts put in during this cup run (not to mention the miles travelled) later to bring us to this moment (both fans and players alike) it came down to this match, a winner takes all tie with so much at stake.

This saw us have to settle for the tag of runners up in 2016….

We’ll offer our congratulations to our opponents and look to come back stronger for this, as said with our heads held high!
