As quoted by the Scottish Sun, midfielder Ryan Jack has revealed that Steven Gerrard gave them a bit of a rocket during half-time in the game with St Johnstone at the weekend.

The Gers went into the break with the Saints with the scoreline at 0-0 and at that point in proceedings you’re wondering just whether or not we’re going to drop points after a big game with Feyenoord on Thursday night.

Indeed, the weekend just gone was a prime example of where a title can be won or lost and it seems as though Gerrard had to rattle a few cages at the break.

No harm done, though, as we came out and eventually won 4-0, showing the class and attacking ability we have in abundance.

Jack revealed what went on at half-time, too, with him revealing:

“The manager got into us a wee bit at half-time and we also had a word amongst ourselves.

“We turned it on after half-time.”

Gerrard will be used to making such comments from his playing career and it seems as though the Gers responded well.
