Rangers 22-year-old could be set for shock Ibrox exit this summer

|

Midfielder Greg Docherty’s Rangers future is in doubt, according to The Scottish Sun, with Hibernian ready to sign him up if the decision is made for him to leave Ibrox this summer.

The 22-year-old has spent the season out on loan at English League One outfit Shrewsbury Town, impressing with ten goals and eleven assists from midfield.

He’s been a stand-out and many fans had hoped that he could stake a claim for a first-team place on his return to the squad this summer.

The Scottish Sun reckon the signings of Glen Kamara and Steven Davis have further sidelined him though, with Scott Arfield also in exceptional form.

Hibs are keeping tabs on his situation with manager Paul Heckinbottom said to be considering permanent and temporary moves for him ahead of next season.

It’s a big ask for him to make an impact in Steven Gerrard’s starting eleven, but hopefully we at least given him an opportunity throughout the summer before making a decision on his future in August.

I reckon there’s a passionate talent there that if given the opportunity can shine for Rangers.
