It was an all too familiar feeling for Rangers on Tuesday, and the outcome was also familiar as we failed to see of a Queen of the South side that we would have been expected to – certainly at Ibrox!

Having finally taken a late lead and even later equaliser saw Queen of the South force a one-one draw at an Ibrox that had seen more than 30,000 turn up as optimism following the boardroom change grow again….

Vuckic (77), a successful member of the ‘Newcastle Five’ to come in, volleyed us into the lead and at that point looked to have won us the game but teenager Smith (86) came off the bench to earn Queen of the South a point with four-minutes to play.

At that stage we moved to within two-points of Hibernian but with them winning on Tuesday they’ve opened up a five-points gap even though we’ll have games in hand – you would wouldn’t be betting on us to close that gap though would you!

Perhaps Vuckic was lucky to stay on, an elbow might be dealt with after the event with, unsurprisingly, a chorus of boos greeting the full time whistle….
