Speculation had linked Stevie G with a return to his former club for the 21-year-old Academy graduate for a while, and the ink is now dry on a loan deal that will run for the entire 2018/19 campaign – although we are waiting on international clearance but that shouldn’t be an issue.
Kent made his first-team debut for the Anfield outfit back in 2015 during their pre-season tour of Thailand, Australia and Malaysia when they faced Brisbane Roar. He was loaned out to Coventry City that season where he scored his maiden EFL goal and returning to Liverpool in January he made his competitive debut that season as he took to the pitch in the FA Cup against Exeter City.

He has since spent time with Barnsley, Freiburg and Bristol City as he continued his development and he comes into us with 57 starting appearances, 25 showings from the bench and a return of four goals.
He has also represented England at Under 18 and Under 20 levels.
Not only is Gerrard a familiar face but Kent has worked with first-team coach Michael Beale who is his former Under 23 coach at Liverpool so that should help him settle in quicker.
Quality winger. Speed, can beat a man easily and good delivery ????????.

Ahhh…Stevie using his Liverpool connections to good effect here then…
— Steve (@Crazyriversflow) July 22, 2018
Yup, I’m sure that was the main attraction for Rangers….utilising his connections to get new players in. Good for Liverpool too in getting their younger players match experience. Everyone’s a winner ????

Now Stevie please sign us a goalscorer ????????????????????????
