With the curtain now drawn on Rangers’ 2017/18 campaign, as well as looking forward with hope it’s also a time for reflection on past mistakes to ensure they don’t happen again.

The departures of both Pedro Caixinha and Graeme Murty have given way to Steven Gerrard and whilst his playing pedigree certainly can’t be sniffed at, with only youth football under his belt there is a question mark over whether this high profile gamble will work out slightly more successful than our previous two low key gambles.

Whilst the future will decide that, Rangers are seeing incomings and outgoings on the playing staff as agreed upon transfers now see their enaction, but we also say goodbye to the likes of Sean Goss with loan spells now coming to an end.

The Queens Park Rangers youngster came in during the January transfer window and he made a total of 12 starting appearances for the club, with three further showings from the bench. Those games saw a return of two goals in matches against Hibernian and St Johnstone.

With him heading back to Loftus Road now, the 22 year old was quick to state his thanks for his experiences at Ibrox – but even he had to conceded there had been ‘ups and downs’.

It seems his honesty in his goodbye message, as well as his efforts on the pitch, found good favour with the fans.
