Rangers striker Dado Prso has been ruled out of Rangers trip to Porto this midweek after picking up an injury in the Old Firm game on Saturday.

The Croatian striker limped off in the 67th minute in the clash at Celtic Park holding his hamstring and it is a devastating blow for Rangers boss Alex McLeish who is already under intense pressure as he battles for his job.

Rangers are already without Spanish hitman Nacho Novo and it looks now like they will line up with Steven Thompson and Francis Jeffers up front with youngster Ross McCormack on the bench.

It’s the third injury to be picked up in the last week or so as defenders Julien Rodriguez and Olivier Bernard picked up injuries in the CIS Insurance League Cup match with Celtic. They are all joined on the injury list with Thomas Buffel and long term injury Gavin Rae.
