Seasons greetings folks, hope you all had a good christmas. With christmas day out of the way, it’s now time for boxing day football, and it looks like Rangers will finally have a game to play.

This will only be Rangers’ THIRD game of December, and one of the two already played was in Turkey. Today’s game will be Rangers’ first game since December 11th.

The SPL now face a massive headache with a build up of fixtures for all clubs to be rearranged. Rangers last game on December 11th was 1-1 draw away to Caley Thistle.

Weather permitting, Rangers fans have two more games to look forward to over the festive season. St Johnstone away on December 29th, and the old firm game against Celtic at Ibrox on January 2nd.

Rangers are looking good at the top of the table, two points clear of Celtic and with a game in hand. Although with no money to bring in new players in the January transfer window, the squad could be stretched.

At least all these call offs will have given the players a good rest, however Walter Smith will be hoping to hang on to his best ones such as Kenny Miller and Allan McGregor during the window.
