Rangers travel to Lisbon for the second time in three years to take on Sporting in the Europa League round of 32.

The winners of the game will take on either PSV or Lille in the next round. The game is finally balanced at 1-1 but Sporting have the away goal which may turn out to be crucial for them.

Rangers know they HAVE to score tonight otherwise another European campaign is over. This could be Walter Smith’s last European game as manager of Rangers with Ally McCoist set to take over at the end of the season.

I don’t think Sporting are any better than Rangers at the moment. They didn’t look like they were on a different level or anything in the first leg and only equalised through a late goal.

Rangers have beat them in their own ground before and could do it again. Although we are a on a bit of a bad run at the moment which makes me nervous.

We’ve got to believe though, it’s not too late to turn our season round. We are still in ALL competitions and cannot be written off yet. Let’s hope this is the game that get’s us back on track.
