Pre-season is in full-swing now and Gerrard has done a pretty impressive job of getting things together for the new season already.
Indeed, he’s made some impressive signings and appears to have the boys working hard, so it looks as though we’re ready to get after 55.
With Newcastle looking for a manager, though, there is going to remain speculation around our gaffer until the Magpies sort out that vacancy.
As per the Record Rangers podcast, though, Gerrard won’t go there – in their opinion – because of the way the club is run:
“Gerrard doesn’t seem motivated by money. He wants to win silverware and I don’t seem him giving that up to go to a team with long-standing issues with their owner.”
That is a very good point, too, with Gerrard never one to move for money as a player.
He wants success with Rangers and I think we will see him stay put for this season at the very least.
