Rangers defender Connor Goldson wants duo Joe Worrall and Ryan Kent to sign up at Ibrox again this summer, with both currently due to return to their parent clubs at the end of the season.
Powerful 6ft 4in Worrall has been a consistent defensive partner alongside Goldson throughout the campaign, with manager Steven Gerrard clearly preferring that partnership more than any other.
Kent meanwhile has been a revelation on the left flank, exciting supporters with dynamic attacking play, goals and assists.
Goldson is a big fan of both and hopes the pair can commit themselves to the quest for major honours at Ibrox.
As quoted by The Scottish Sun, the Rangers defender said:
I hope Joe Worrall comes back for another season. We’d definitely like Ryan Kent to stay as well.
The squad the gaffer has built this year has done really well and I feel we are just a few parts away from being successful.
A lot of people forget that for many of the players, it’s our first year together. We now know what Rangers is all about and what ambitions we have. We need to kick on and compete on every level.
Joe has enjoyed himself here, he’s played a lot of games and done well. We know Nottingham Forest are his parent club and he’s said in the past he wants to go back there. If Joe stays it would be good.
Worrall’s consistency has been a bit of a problem this season but Rangers fans would likely be delighted if he signed for the club again this summer, recognising the potential he holds as a 22-year-old.
When he’s on the top of his game he’s an effective force in the Gers defensive line.
Not many would say no to Ryan Kent either of course. He’s emerged as a real fan favourite and most are desperate for the club to do some sort of deal with Liverpool for his return.
The likelihood is that both won’t play at Ibrox beyond this season, but we’ll be holding out hope anyway!
