Rangers are starting to warm up in the transfer window now and that is good to see without doubt.
The Gers managed to sign George Edmundson over the weekend to add to the arrivals of Greg Stewart and Sheyi Ojo, whilst other signings have arrived after being agreed prior to the window.
Exciting times, then, and the Scottish Sun’s report about Joe Aribo being persuaded to come to us should bode well for the rest of the window.
Aribo has agreed to join, according to the report, and that is in part thanks to Steven Gerrard convincing him that he’d be best off developing at our club.
In isolation that seems no massive feat but then you look at the clubs the report underlined were also interested.
They say the likes of Aston Villa, Bournemouth, Stuttgart and Torino and a host of Championship sides were keen on him, underlining Gerrard’s presence and powers of persuasion.
Let’s hope more examples of that are on the way.
