The fall out and finger pointing from Rangers weekend celebrations has continued with the preposterous suggestion that Rangers players were chanting F*** The Pope.
In the Thornton Suite within Ibrox stadium on Saturday evening, the Gers players were living it up and enjoying the moment with fellow employees of the club and the bubble, having a party.
Videos emerged on social media, showing the scenes and the jubilation of the day.
One of those was the players singing along to Neil Diamond’s ‘Sweet Caroline’, a party pleaser, just like Leicester City’s players did after their Saturday FA Cup triumph.
It is expected that plenty of mendacious individuals and enemies of Rangers will seek to twist the knife and portary the club in a bad light with smears, but it is a different proposition when elected representatives get involved and double down with nonsense.

In a staggering update, Police Scotland have now tweeted that they are investigating a video ‘apparently showing Rangers players using sectarian languge’
Where do we even start with that?
So, Croatians, Nigerians, Columbians, etc etc within the Rangers team including those like Joe Aribo, Leon Balogun and Jerman Defoe who regularly make the sign of the cross on the pitch are now part of an elaborate anti-Roman Catholic contingent at Ibrox?

It is clear from the video below that the footage from Saturday night at Ibrox has been doctored.
Many have jumped in, head first, including former Celtic player Stephen Crainey.
All of us have a duty with what we post on social media. To make claims and assertions and effectively lighting a fire without responsibility is not acceptable.
If something is untrue or unverified, don’t post it.
If you get tricked or deceive, own up and do the right thing.
As for James Dornan…..he is consistent if nothing else. Scotland is truly endangered if this is it’s political class.
This smearing will not be accepted by Rangers and the fans.
