Ibrox was absolutely bouncing last night and it was another famous game for the history books as the Light Blues beat Dutch giants Feyenoord in the first match of this season’s Europa League group stage.

If we are to make it into the knockout stages successfully, the Gers are going to have to be immaculate at home and this performance suggested that we could well manage to do exactly that.

Plenty of positives to take from that, then, but away from the first-team squad’s heroics, developments – or a lack of them – involving a fringe player have left Steven Gerrard far from happy.

According to Football Insider, the failure of Eros Grezda being moved on in the summer window has left the manager frustrated and you can understand why.

The player is basically just sat around wasting time and money at the moment and there needs to be a breakthrough with his issue at some point.
