Player hints Gerrard presence could sway him to join Rangers

|

The summer window is soon to be open and it’s going to be intriguing to see who out of the several names we’ve been linked with we’re actually going to bring in.

The Gers have been decent in the windows under Steven Gerrard and overall I would say he is a pretty shrewd operator in the market so far.

He needs to go again this summer, though, and one man that might well join the club is going to do so thanks to the presence of our gaffer.

Quoted by the Scottish Sun, Azerbaijani international Bahlul Mustafazada discussed the rumours linking us and Celtic with him.

He said:

“Celtic or Rangers? For me there is no difference.

“Yes, it would be interesting to work with a coach like Steven Gerrard, but the main thing for me is my development.”

Clearly, then, nothing is concrete at the moment but he has hinted that working under Gerrard rather than Neil Lennon could be better for him.

Certainly, you can hardly disagree with that and now we’ll just have to wait and see whether he makes the right switch.
