Loads of Rangers fans are excited by young winger Glenn Middleton, believing Steven Gerrard should give him a renewed chance in the first-team.

The youngster was in superb form for the reserves side this week, scoring a beautiful goal against Hibs in league action, which you can see below.

Middleton of course rose to prominence with supporters this season when Gerrard played him a lot in the first half of the season, before allowing him to develop behind the scenes again with the reserves team.

He scored five goals for the senior side, including in the UEFA Europa League group stage, showing significant potential.

The 19-year-old hasn’t started since December though and has just two substitute appearances to his name since then.

With our season pretty much over and the top six teams to face over the next few weeks, should Middleton come back into the equation and be tested ahead of a decision on his future in the summer?

Gerrard will have to determine whether it’s worth keeping the youngster around or sending him out on loan for first-team football.

These fans are still excited about his ability, taking to Twitter to share their thoughts…
