Not so long ago, the Sun suggested that we were one of the sides interested in trying to sign Liverpool forward Dominic Solanke on loan.
A young player with plenty of potential, he is frustrated at Liverpool with it certainly hard for him to get any real game time for them right now.
A move away, then, would be good for him and it had looked as though he’d be off to Crystal Palace.
According to the Daily Mail, though, that could well be off and it seems as though that is down to a slight fitness concern the Eagles have.
Their hesitancy, then, could be our gain.
Whilst we’d also need to be careful if he does have an injury I am sure that if we did sign him he would remain fit.
Indeed, if we are still interested in the player it would make sense to try and strike now whilst Palace have second thoughts.
