Plenty of Rangers fans have their opinions about longer-term players that remain at the club following Pedro Caixinha’s ill-fated spell and Graeme Murty’s time in charge and with the arrival of Steven Gerrard we’ve already seen a number of player departures, and fans aren’t slow pointing to others who need to go.

One man who falls into that category is the enigma known as Alfredo Morelos.

The 22-year-old Colombian has become very much a Marmite player to use a foodie phrase – fans either love him and believe he’ll get better, or they hate him and have never understood the hype.

Having joined us back in the summer of 2017, he has 37 starting appearances to his name with seven substitute showings. In that time he’s scored 18 goals and on face value that is a fantastic return, especially for someone so young.

The problem is he’s becoming known for his misses and wasted opportunities as he is goals. That has certainly come to the fore over the recent Europa League ties against FC Shkupi where he has found himself a topic of conversation after both matches.

Last night was no different on social media.
