Rangers fans are delighted to hear that Eduardo Herrera won’t be near the club anytime soon, after he was confirmed to have joined Mexican side Necaxa on loan.

The Pedro Caixinha signing failed to make any sort of impact at Ibrox after joining in the summer of 2017, starting just two matches and proving ineffective in over a dozen appearances off the bench.

Similarly failing to impress on loan at Santos Laguna, he has now moved elsewhere and thankfully won’t be returning to Glasgow like his compatriot Carlos Pena.

Collectively, the duo earn a reported £50,000-a-week, which is an eye watering amount when you consider how little they have contributed to the Rangers cause.

It’s not something that can continue and hopefully we see the permanent exit of both before too long.

That’s a resource that could be put to great use elsewhere in Steven Gerrard’s squad and it’s unfortunate he has been saddled with such a drain.

These fans are delighted Herrera won’t be at Rangers, taking to Twitter to share their thoughts…
