Rangers fans had their first chance to see Eros Grezda from the start of a match on Saturday, making his first full appearance after a number of displays from the bench in Steven Gerrard’s side.

The Albanian international was named in the starting eleven for the trip to Paisley to face St Mirren in Scottish Premiership action, but failed to impress supporters before eventually being substituted off early in the second half.

The highlight of his contribution was hitting the post shortly before being replaced by eventual goalscorer Daniel Candeias.

It’s of course far too early to make certain judgements on his future at Rangers, but many supporters feel they’ve yet to see any proof of why he was worth the £2m it took to sign him from Osijek.

Plenty are hoping for quick improvement and took to Twitter to share their opinion on his Saturday performance…

  • Grez da – so far, he looks like an average player but time will tell if he lives up to initial comments about him soon to be worth £20 million. No urgency in his play. Poor touch.

  • Grezda not good enough, why is Middleton being overlooked, he gives more a threat than this guy, not impressed with Rangers at all. ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
