Rangers suffered a hugely damaging Scottish Cup defeat to Aberdeen at Ibrox tonight, losing 2-0 in a quarter-final replay.
The result and competition exit means the chance of winning any silverware this season looks incredibly slim.
Steven Gerrard’s side did not show the right attitude or application from the first whistle, failing to cope with the physical challenge of the Dons and struggling to create more than a handful of chances.
One of the most criticised performers of the night was midfielder Ryan Jack, who did not have the kind of attacking ambition we needed to get back into the match after falling behind early.
Some are growing frustrated with his underwhelming, average performances, feeling he doesn’t have enough quality to string together exciting displays on a regular basis.
Should we be looking for better in the middle of the park?

Kamara or Jack should have been taken off at half-time, if not earlier. Moreover, McCrorie should be used at centre back in games where we know our centre halves are going to be making the play.

See this role Ryan Jack has in the team, you can’t seriously be telling me he’s any better than McCrorie at it. Weak in possession and it’s not his game to be a playmaker so he’s in there to win the ball….and there’s no chance he’s better than McCrorie at that.

Ryan Jack is not good enough to be a starting Rangers midfielder for me, As good and tidy as they are on their day either is Kamara or Arfield and that's the honest truth.
Big money needs spent on proper goalscoring/creative midfielders in the summer.
And candeias replacement.

Let’s be honest here, Ryan Jack is the most average midfielder in our team

Ryan Jack. Half hearted challenge then doesn't bother tracking the runner #Rangers
