No ban concern for Rangers star despite media hysteria

|

Rangers defender Joe Worrall will escape citation by the Scottish FA for a video that appeared on social media yesterday, as reported by The Daily Record.

The paper say he was caught on camera declaring “f**k Celtic” in the back of a car with a female pal who is heard saying, “no surrender.”

That sparked fears he could be facing action from the SFA after former Celtic striker John Guidetti faced a similar punishment a few seasons ago, however, The Record reckon the authority is unlikely to step in this time.

The report cites the case of Shay Logan of Aberdeen saying similar about Rangers and being let off.

Worrall has just a handful of games left before he returns to Nottingham Forest, however with the season now over Steven Gerrard may turn to giving Nikola Katic game time ahead of the new campaign.

Katic came into the team against Motherwell at the weekend and performed well. With Worrall having no long-term future at Ibrox, it makes sense to invest playing time into the Croatian instead.
