Newcastle Five

The ‘Newcastle Five’ is something that I refer to regular, no doubt others do too, but it was interesting to see this email land in my inbox from Mr A. Woods that was titled ‘Newcastle Five.’

I share those thoughts with you below….

It’s becoming absolutely clear that Mike Ashley was trying to pull a fly move when he sent five relatively unknown players up the road to Ibrox on transfer deadline day. He was no doubt thinking that the very mention of the five loan players would see the crowds flocking back to Ibrox to see the infamous five.

As the season enters its final stages and no sign whatsoever of any of the invisible four appearing any time soon, it is clear the whole loan thing was a PR exercise which was never going to achieve anything.

Selling Lewis McLeod for a pittance has cost Rangers promotion. Harris Vuckic is nowhere near the player McLeod is and although slightly better than most first team regulars, he is no better than Tom Walsh or Andy Murdoch.

The Newcastle lads should all have their contracts torn up and be sent home. Their whole connection with Rangers FC has been a farce from beginning to end.

In all honesty I doubt many, if any would disagree here would they! Let us know your thoughts!
