Club partner Black Rooster Peri Peri has got the fans excited with the unveiling of its own branded food outlets within Ibrox Stadium.

Whilst the venture from the chicken chain won’t be ready for today’s encounter against Kilmarnock, more details on the exact location of the food stalls and the offerings within Ibrox are set to be released very soon.

This is in addition to the existing standalone food truck from Black Rooster that makes up part of the Fan Village food offering in the vicinity of the stadium on matchdays.

Now the competitive season has started, there is an expectation that the overall food offering will be better.

The club’s new catering supplier Levy UK had boasted during the close season:

“Levy will create a new menu, serving fan favourites and embracing the history and global heritage of the club, while aiming to focus on sustainable, local Scottish produce in line with the companyโ€™s target to be net zero by 2027. Levy will also introduce digital screens and other technologies at the venue.”

However it would be fair to say that early expectations and the associated marketing has not been delivered with many complaints experienced during the West Ham and Tottenham warm-up games last month.

It is obviously no mean feat to cater for all of Ibrox on a matchday and there is only so much that can be done in that type of setting, but given the launch of Levy, they will need to walk the walk.

It could be that Black Rooster steal a march in the coming weeks and as a local based company, they will be looking to satisfy the hungry punters.
