Rangers midfielder Steven Naismith will learn tomorrow if he will play again this season. The player went off injured with suspected ligament damage in his right knee in Saturday’s 2-1 victory over Aberdeen.

Naismith has already had a lengthy spell on the sidelines with ligament damage earlier in his Rangers career. If it proves to be his ligaments again it will be a major setback for a player who has arguably been Rangers top man this season.

Naismith seen a consultant today and underwent a scan. Rangers are expected to release details of the results tomorrow. Speaking about the injury to Naismith on Saturday, Rangers boss Ally McCoist said:

‘The signs aren’t good, but we won’t know until we get a scan and a full diagnosis, I would have to say it probably isn’t looking good at the moment as he says he feels the same pain and numbness as he did when he did it the first time.’

Let’s hope the damage isn’t serious to keep him out for the rest of the season.
