Here’s an interesting sub plot to the game tonight, the chance of Scott Brown being tasked with marking Alfredo Morelos.

Yes, a few months on from Brown’s last hurrah (or lack of it) at Ibrox and the last laugh from Morelos, the pair will be up close and personal once again.

With Aberdeen having something of a defensive crisis, the could be forced to play their captain in the back line, just like he finished their win over Hibs at the weekend.

Rangers ‘100 club’ member Morelos , would relish that proposition, but otherwise he is likely to come up against former Rangers players, Ross McCrorie and David Bates.

After a positive game against St Mirren for the Colombian and the ‘pressure’ of the landmark goal lifted, he can now get on with his game and look to get the first of his goals for the Gers.

On that chance of Brown at the back, Dons boss Glass stated the following, as reported by the Evening Express:

“It is an option that we have got –  I think we have a flexibility within the group that if we play four with Scott there we have the chance to go to five at any point really during the game.”

“That flexibility in the team helps.”

Impact

Not just Morelos, but the likes of Roofe, Aribo and Hagi should be looking to make an impression tonight.

They are making more of an impact and those forward strides could combined to great effect, on what is sure to be an incredibly emotional night at Ibrox.

Once the whistle blows and the actions gets underway, what better way to pay homage to the great man, Walter Smith, than a resounding, resolute, dominant win in a very important Premiership clash.
