Hearts captain Christophe Berra has been left furious by the actions of Kyle Lafferty after the Rangers striker celebrated today’s win at Ibrox with supporters.

The Scotland defender had to be held back from making a beeline for the 31-year-old after he spotted his former teammate living it up with Alfredo Morelos after the final whistle.

After the match he explained his actions and problem with Lafferty.

As quoted by The Daily Record, Berra said:

Kyle is a great lad and I’ve no problem with him, but he’s got to remember what this club did for him.

Don’t get me wrong, Rangers pay his wages. It was just heat of the moment, he was away celebrating and I thought he could have shown a bit of class.

Remember it was these fans who got him that move. I was just angry at losing.

Berra’s point of view is probably understandable given the emotions of the game, but there’s definitely a touch of the sore loser about Hearts today.

The defender’s criticism of Lafferty, coupled with Craig Levein’s meltdown at the refereeing throughout the 90 minutes projects an air of real bitterness about losing to Rangers.

That’s none of our business of course…
