Having booked our place in the Qualifying Second Round of the Europa League on Tuesday evening with Rangers taking an aggregate 2-0 victory over Shkupi, most fans have spent their time since pouring over the actual performance.

Everyone welcomed the win of course, especially in light of 2017/18’s failure against Progres Niederkorn, but across the 180 minutes of the two legs fans certainly vented their concerns at the style of player, the manner of the performance and the mistakes that were being made – as well as players they simply didn’t feel had performed to a level that warranted them being in the next competitive line up.

That was one side of the coin, with others angling the positives about clean sheets, understanding growing in the group given new arrivals even if all weren’t involved, and pointing out that Gerrard was still searching for his best XI and the right partnerships that brought the best out of each individual player.

New arrival Scott Arfield made his own comment short and sweet.

He’s right, the job was to win and we did that.

In appreciating the brevity of his comment a number of fans left their own issues aside, and a new one quickly took over.

Having missed out on the second leg with injury, people wanted to know when he was back believing he had been clearly missed in the last tie.
