Manager Ally McCoist has said that Stenhousemuir will be a tricky test over the course of 90 minutes, and he’s called on the team to be at their best and continue to show the improvement they have done in their performances of late to ensure we get another three points on our march for the title.

Last time we played Stenny on home soil goals from Jon Daly (4), Bilel Mohsni, Lee Wallace, Andy Little and David Templeton helped us to an eight nil victory which is our highest of the campaign. Since then we have won twice at Ochilview Park, although both games have been very tight.

McCoist certainly isn’t expecting a repeat of the eight nil victory, and he’s expecting the game to be as tight as more recent affairs, but that doesn’t mean he’s not confident of coming out of the game will all three points again.

Stenny will definitely be up for the game having had a new gaffer installed last Tuesday.

Speaking to the Official Site the gaffer explained.

‘The first game was very open which suited us. The two since haven’t been and they have been hard fought victories. I would expect games like that, especially as they have a new manager in charge.’

McCoist says he knows Scott Booth pretty well and he thought it was only a matter of time before he got a permanent managerial position and he expects him to do well, but hopefully not this weekend.

As for team news, Bilel Mohsni remains out suspended, but Lee McCulloch does return.

Long term injuries are looking brighter as Chris Hegarty is now back in training, and Ross Perry and Kyle Hutton are expected to return next Monday. Nicky Clark also now has his protective boot off, and in a couple of weeks he should be back to his best as well.

Lewis MacLeod is still down with a virus though so he has also been ruled out.
