Rangers Word On The Tweet

‘May as well give Celtic the title now’ – Many Rangers fans can’t believe latest derby update

|

Loads of Rangers fans are unhappy with the appointment of referee Bobby Madden for this weekend’s trip to Celtic Park.

Steven Gerrard’s side make the short trip across the city to face off against Neil Lennon for the first time since Brendan Rodgers’ hilarious departure.

Currently ten points behind in the Scottish Premiership, we desperately need a win to keep our slim hopes of winning silverware this season alive.

That will of course be an immensely difficult task and some supporters feel it’ll be a lot more difficult considering Madden will officiate the match.

The last time he reffed an Old Firm derby he sent off one of our players and awarded two penalties to Celtic.

Celtic fans like to push the rumour he is a former season ticket holder at Ibrox, but in turn some Rangers supporters feels he may overcompensate in these matches to prove he has no bias, ironically causing bias.

Whether you subscribe to such paranoia or not, there’s no doubt there’ll be immense pressure on the referee heading into the Celtic Park fixture, which rarely ends well for us.

These fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on it all…
