A potential injury to defender Borna Barisic on international duty has concerned Rangers supporters heading into a week of build-up to the Celtic match.
As reported by The Scottish Sun, he’s a major doubt for the derby against Neil Lennon’s side next Sunday at Celtic Park after being substituted off just half an hour in to Croatia’s qualifier against Hungary last night.
Barisic has built a reputation as being injury prone since making the move from NK Osijek last summer, missing a massive chunk of the season because of various fitness issues.
Now potentially out again heading into the tail-end of the season, some are questioning his long-term viability as a Gers full-back.
It’s a position that requires endurance and physical sacrifice, with his record so far doing little to convince anyone he can provide either.
It looks like Steven Gerrard will now have to turn to Andy Halliday for the upcoming derby fixtures.
These fans took to Twitter on Sunday to share their thoughts on the potential problem…
If Barisic has done his hamstring, that’s probably him for the season.

May as well get rid of him in the summer if he's injured all the time

That's his problem like Rossiter. He could come good but unfortunately injuries halt him.

Said to my mates there’s a reason he was still in Croatian league at 25 with level of talent he’s got.Bit of a sick note.
