Manager addresses talk of signing attacker

|

Rangers will be looking to put Progres to the sword this evening in the Europa League as we aim to take another step towards the group stages.

Of course, the tie is over two legs but a big win tonight could leave us well in the driving seat in terms of the tie.

That in mind, then, it remains to be seen who is going to feature but Kyle Lafferty is not going to be a part of things this evening.

Indeed, he is on the way after having his contract terminated and, therefore, his former manager Craig Levein was asked whether or not he’d consider re-signing him for Hearts.

Levein, though, seems to feel as though he’s got enough in terms of the strikers he currently has at Tynecastle.

He said:

“I believe in the strikers we’ve got and that they’ll score goals.”

A fair enough statement, then, and it remains to be seen just where Lafferty is going to end up this summer away from Ibrox.
