Ovie Ejaria has angered Rangers supporters by failing to do anything to stop Celtic scoring in today’s derby defeat at Celtic Park.
The midfielder was the runner tracking Tom Rogic as the Australian burst free from a controversial challenge on Ryan Jack.
Within reach of fouling him and stopping the player in his tracks, Ejaria simply gave chase without effect, also failing to track the run of eventual goalscorer Olivier Ntcham.
Ejaria has had an up and down start at the Gers so far this summer, with a number of initially frustrating performances eventually making way for exceptional displays, most recently away to Russian side FC Ufa.
It may be his exertions on Thursday night contributed to his inability to deal with the Celtic threat today.
Fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on his role in today’s defeat…
If Ejaria tracks his man & doesn't just give up that goal doesn't happen simple as that.

Thought Ejaria was terrible today as well. He literally just gave up at the goal. Poor attitude

I just don’t understand why ejaria didn’t take rogic out before he got near our goal?

Fucking hell! This makes me fuming. 1 thing you must have as a Rangers player is dedication and commitment and watching Ejaria throw the towel in makes me feel sick. Absolutely no excuse for that. Weak! https://t.co/Xw5HkXhbLd
