Rangers midfielder Jordan Rossiter is on the verge of joining Bury on loan for the rest of the season, as confirmed by manager Steven Gerrard to Sky Sports last night.
Blighted by injuries throughout his Ibrox career so far, the former Liverpool prospect has managed to make just 16 appearances for the club since joining during the Mark Warburton-era.
Those fitness problems appear to be behind him, but he has not managed to make an impact in Gerrard’s first-team, limited to just two starts for the season so far.
Bury are a team on the up and are challenging for promotion from English League Two, so it could be a fantastic environment for him to get games and shine in a winning team.
Whether he has a future at Ibrox remains to be seen but the hope will be he can get regular football under his belt and return with confidence this summer.
These fans seem happy with the move and took to Twitter to share their thoughts…
I’m sure Rossiter is a talent but his injuries have really set him back at @RangersFC. Hopefully he’ll get games at Bury. Move makes complete sense.

Rossiter to Bury on loan seems a logical choice. I’d imagine Gerrard’s relationship with Ryan Lowe pushed that deal through.

Bury have scored 80 goals in all competitions, 2nd highest in the EFL and playing fluid, exciting football. If Jordan can regain match fitness without breaking down it’ll be a good move.
