According to the Sun, Rangers are looking closely at Matt Polster with the midfielder currently on trial with the Gers.
The 25-year-old is an American international and has played in the MLS for plenty of seasons so he is a senior player – as well as one that faced the boss when he played out there.
And, by the looks of things, he has impressed Steven Gerrard already with him embarking on a trial last month.
That’s seen him do enough to go to Tenerife with the rest of the Gers and so he could very well be our next signing of the January window.
That said, nothing is certain despite that but it seems as though many of our fans would like to see him sign.
