Rangers have moved into first position at the top of the Scottish Premiership table after a comeback win away to Hearts at Tynecastle on Sunday.
After Gareth McAuley scored an own goal in the first half, fans were worried that it could be a long afternoon up against Craig Levein’s side, but Steven Gerrard’s men rallied to to score through Connor Goldson and Alfredo Morelos and win 2-1.
James Tavernier was at the heart of the victory, with his set-piece deliveries leading to both goals.
He was an attacking threat throughout, producing consistently devilish crosses that had the home defence scrambling at times.
The captain now has an incredible nine goals and 13 assists for the season, becoming one of the team’s main attacking threats.
Is there a better right-back in the country? Not for my money.
These fans were in awe of his Sunday performance and took to Twitter to share their thoughts…
Tavernier outstanding today. Countless attacks started through his runs, two assists. Can’t ask for much more.

Thought centre backs were strong today. Morelos hold up play fantastic. Wee shout for Grezda who 1st half made some good defensive contibutions. That will help.
Tavernier was my MotM. Drove us fwd and although his crosses do sometimes rip ma knitting, he had some crackers today.

Tavernier was absolutely tremendous. Looked like a Premier League player who had dropped down for the afternoon. His delivery can go from one extreme to the other but his consistency today was unbelievable.
