Rangers have apparently failed in a loan approach to West Ham for Domingos Quina.

The Daily Mail reports Mark Warburton had hoped to sign the 17 year old on loan until the end of the season but West Ham – having signed him from Chelsea last year – feel the former Benfica schoolboy could have a part to play for them in the Premier League this season.

As a result the midfielder – included in squad against Manchester United and Manchester City recently – will stay in London.

However, one player who is heading to Glasgow from London is Arsenal’s Jon Toral. As we know his loan spell with Granada was terminated this week with it strong rumoured he would link up with his former Brentford boss.

The 21 year old has now arrived in Glasgow ahead of his proposed temporary switch to Ibrox, which if completed – I can’t see why it wouldn’t – could leave him free to make his Rangers debut against Motherwell in the Scottish Cup on 21st January.
