According to reports today, ex Lyon manager will arrive at Ibrox this week and be appointed as manager but he plans to get rid of six Ibrox regulars.

Le Guen is tipped to be unveiled at a press conference on Thursday and the first task he will undertake is to have a clear out at Ibrox so he can bring his own men in.

OUT will go Peter Lovenkrands, Hamed Namouchi, Chris Burke and Brahim Hemdani. Federico Nieto and Steven Thompson won’t be offered new deals.

It is thought that Le Guen met with Ibrox representatives last week and agreed to a deal which will bring him to Ibrox next week.

The Frenchman will no doubt have an idea of who he wants to bring in to replace the outgoing players and hopefully the major changes will be just what Rangers need to get them back on track.

Meanwhile Alex McLeish is still very much wanted by Milan Mandaric at Portsmouth and Mandaric will make his move this week after the Champions League game against Inter Milan.
