Steven Gerrard has again addressed talk of Alfredo Morelos leaving the club this summer after the Gers’ friendly win over French side Marseille.

The Colombian striker is our best player and if we manage to keep him past the end of the summer we have a great chance of getting ourselves a trophy or two this season I believe.

However, Gerrard was once again asked about the player’s future after the game with the French side and the Express reports how he simply shook his head to suggest that no offers had come in for the player.

A simple gesture, but one that says a great deal as we head into the final weeks of the window.

We all want to see Alfredo stay at the club past the end of the summer window and as yet it seems as though there has been no big interest in him in terms of offers.

  • There is no interest due to his disciplinary record and being found out against superior opposition.
